Floor & Vault Recreational Gymnastics Competition Resource Pack
The Hub Gymnastics Foundations Competition Pack gives teachers and coaches a clear, easy-to-use framework for running Recreational Floor and Vault Competitions.
Created by recreational coaches for recreational gymnasts, the content is
designed to keep things simple and fun – placing the emphasis on enjoyment
rather than formality.
The floor routines and vaults are built around core foundational skills and follow a rainbow-themed progression. Gymnasts can work their way through the colours as they master the basics, showcasing their development on both Floor and Vault in a structured yet enjoyable way.
THE BRONZE ROUTINE, THE SILVER ROUTINE, THE GOLD ROUTINE – These routines have more advanced skills set in a matrix. The gymnasts can choose 10 skills to perform in a floor routine from the Bronze, Silver or Gold category. Their start value will be determined depending on the level of difficulty. Gymnasts have the option to perform the skills with music and extra dance moves.
Judging sheets
Each routine has a downloadable A4 judging sheet which outlines the skills from the routine in 10 columns. The sheet has a space for the judge to add the competitors name, enter their deductions for each skill and add their total score. The judges sheet has a QR code available with a demonstration video as a guide on how to judge and how to use the sheet correctly.
